fillers are gel like materials which are made from Hyaluronic Acid, a natural substance which can be synthetically replicated. Fillers are used to add or replace volume.
How does it work?
As we get
older, we lose our natural hyaluronic acid. This causes the skin to appear loose and we get loss of the definition of areas of the face. Dermal fillers are used to restore the lost hyaluronic acid,
thereby restoring the volume and definition lost. They can also be used to add volume, for example in the lips or cheek bones.
Are Dermal Fillers for me?
We offer free consultations to individually assess your face, address your concerns and together develop a tailored plan to meet your needs. Botox and
fillers can sometimes be used together, to create the desired effect. Dermal Fillers are not suitable for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. It is also not suitable for broken or infected
skin, and areas with active cold sores.
Will I see the results immediately?
Yes, you will see a noticeable difference immediately after treatment. However, the final effect will be seen 72 hours after treatment, once the swelling has reduced. The outcome
may therefore look more dramatic immediately after treatment, but after 72 hours will look more subtle.
long will it last?
Dermal fillers last between 6 to 18 months depending on the area being treated.
Due to the thicker consistency and different technique used, dermal fillers can be more uncomfortable than BOTOX® treatments. The fillers come with a local anaesthetic in the gel, and we will apply a local anaesthetic cream on the area prior to your treatment.
This will ensure the procedure is as pain free as possible.
